Discover Nature Trails

Welcome to Discover Nature Trails, an ecotourism initiative based in Glendalough in the Wicklow Mountains National Park and in Howth, County Dublin. We provide guided walks through unique landscapes, led by professional ecologists who have studied Ireland’s natural habitats for over 10 years. We’re passionate about nature and about sharing our expert knowledge!

We offer 2-3 hour walks on a selection of the stunning trails around historic Glendalough or on Howth Head, with its panoramic coastal views. Our trails are tailor-made to match your interests, and all ages and levels of interest are catered for.

Come wildlife-spotting, explore spectacular landscapes, learn to recognise common native trees and wildflowers and forage for tasty wild food!

“Thanks for a fantastic nature trail! Really informative and we learned a lot. The foraging was brilliant too – I now have lots of elderflower cordial in the fridge!” – Suzanne

“We went on the Guided Walk to Lower Lake Boardwalk & Poulanass Waterfall today and it was fantastic, I had not been to Glendalough in 18 years… I will not be leaving it as long before my next visit. Superb guide who really knows her stuff, try catching her out, it’s impossible!” – Paul

Discover Nature Trails is now a member of Meath Ecotourism Network, an active network of like-minded businesses working together to promote ecotourism.
