Through its involvement in projects such as Monitoring of Opposite-leaved Pondweed (Groenlandia densa)Mitigation Measures for Triangular Club-rush (Schoenoplectus triqueter) and Mitigation Measures for Great Burnet (Sanguisorba officinalis) and Meadow Barley (Hordeum secalinum), BEC Consultants has built up a thorough knowledge of the genetic, physiological and ecological issues surrounding the translocation of rare and legally protected plant species. In addition, BEC Consultants staff have delivered lectures to students of the M.Sc. in Biodiversity and Conservation at Trinity College Dublin on the topic of rare plant translocation.
